Who Are We?

Chabad at CSUN is more than a student center — it's a family.
Led by Rabbi Chaim and Raizel Brook, Chabad at CSUN is a warm, welcoming home for every Jewish student at California State University, Northridge.

The Brooks moved to Northridge with a mission: to build Jewish life on CSUN's campus. They opened their home and hearts to students, creating a space where Judaism could thrive on campus.

With the addition of Rabbi Mendy and Sandra Paul, the Chabad team has expanded — and so has the love and impact. Together, they’ve built a vibrant, inclusive, and deeply personal Jewish experience for hundreds of students every year.

Whether it’s a home-cooked Shabbat dinner, a one-on-one Torah study session, a Passover Seder, or simply a safe space to talk, Chabad is always there — with open arms, listening ears, and lots of food!

Why Are We Here?

We're here for you — the students.

Whether you’re looking for community, connection, tradition, inspiration, or just a place to be yourself, Chabad at CSUN is your home away from home. We’re here to support your spiritual, emotional, social, and yes, even your practical needs.

Need someone to talk to? Craving a good meal? Curious about Jewish learning? Want to celebrate the holidays in a meaningful way? We’ve got you. We live just steps away from campus, and our door is always open — literally.

Once you become part of the CSUN Jewish family, you’re always family. No labels, no judgment — just love, support, and good vibes.
